IT specialist for digital networking

What awaits you:

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Information Systems or Computer Science at FOM (University of Applied Sciences) in combination with an apprenticeship as IT Specialist:in for Digital Networking

  • 2.5-year training as an IT specialist for digital networking in accordance with training regulations with insights into all areas relevant to training
  • Acquisition of practice-oriented theoretical knowledge at the vocational school
  • 3.5-year course of study at FOM leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in the evening and on Saturdays

  • Conception and realization of complex systems of information and telecommunication technology by integration of hardware and software components
  • Operating & setting up networked systems
  • Ensure the availability of networked systems
  • Analyze systems for networking processes & products
  • Automation of processes and products
  • Collaboration in and partial takeover of internal projects and optimization tasks
  • Installation and configuration of networked information and telecommunication systems
  • Project planning, implementation and control
  • Troubleshooting through the use of expert and diagnostic systems
  • Administration of information and telecommunication systems

  • General university entrance qualification or entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences
  • Good grades in the subjects German, mathematics and English
  • Interest in business contexts and enthusiasm for IT
  • Confident ability to express oneself both verbally and in writing
  • Good command of English
  • High willingness to learn and perform as well as own initiative to face this time-consuming, combined training
  • Communication and teamwork skills

Attention!

The position can be selected either with simultaneous, practice-oriented evening studies (2-3 times a week, partly on Saturday) or without integrated IHK training in day studies (2 days/week) within 7 semesters at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management (FOM) in Düsseldorf with acquisition of the internationally recognized Bachelor degree.
