Atlas International Movers provides moving services for both private and commercial customers. They operate their trucks mainly in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy and the UK. Jan Koets, who has been Managing & Commercial Director at Atlas for six years, highlighted the long-standing cooperation with DKV Mobility. "For more than ten years, and since one year they have been our exclusive mobility provider."

Especially for planners organising international moves, live tracking from DKV LIVE offers significant advantages. Larger distances can involve more complex logistical routes. DKV LIVE acts as a digital assistant that helps them automate fleet administrative processes. "Initially, we share the expected time of arrival, for example, between 09:00 and 12:00. As soon as one of our four trucks leaves, we can immediately communicate a more up-to-date arrival time to the customer," Koets explains. "And it is completely convenient that we can also keep them informed of delays, for example, due to traffic problems."

DKV LIVE features a tachograph function that is mandatory in all European Union member states. This records driving times, breaks, rest periods and the like. This data is used for enforcement of regulations and safe driving behaviour. "Previously, drivers had to manually record driving times and breaks. With the digital assistant, legal obligations can be managed and transmitted directly from the desk," Koets said.

Complete range of solutions

About a decade ago, Atlas International Movers initially used standard fuelling products, such as DKV Mobility's fuel cards. "With the partial electrification of our fleet, we started looking for more and other mobility solutions such as charging passes," Koets indicates.

Today, Atlas International Movers uses almost all of DKV Mobility's solutions. Besides refuelling and charging stations, toll payments abroad are now also processed through the mobility provider. Koets emphasises the administrative advantages: "Multiple suppliers or cash payments create enormous administrative tasks. With the toll boxes, this is virtually eliminated. All expenses are visible in real-time in a user-friendly portal, without having to wait for monthly reports."

Peter Nienhuis, account manager DKV Mobility Benelux, added: "DKV Mobility is the leading B2B platform for payment solutions on the move in Europe. With products like the DKV BOX EUROPE, we take worries out of our customers' hands. With just one toll box, they can pay toll throughout Europe, receive everything in one invoice and easily find all their toll transactions in their own customer portal. Our motto is not for nothing 'you drive, we care'. We listen to our customers and take care of them, and there's nothing like being recognised as an 'exclusive mobility provider'."

Atlas International Movers was also one of the first to use fuel and service cards with NFC chip technology. Koets explains: "The technology enables contactless payments even when a POS system is offline. The test period was very successful, it is a solution we want to implement widely."

"Atlas International Movers is an informal flat organisation where you are heard. Business-wise, we are often on the same page, and when that is not the case, we are good at talking to each other," says Koets. "We also have this cordial cooperation with DKV Mobility. For us, straightforward communication is important; they understand that well."
