Colleaguesin a meeting at DKV Mobility office

"It's not taken for granted that global and progressive companies care about well-being of employees". we talk to Daniela Sobieszek, who has rejoined forces with DKV Mobility after a two-year break to take up the position as Teammanager Customer Service & Telesales.

Newsroom: You have taken charge of the Polish branch's customer relations. What made you join this position?

Daniela Sobieszek: The main reason was that DKV Mobility is an organization that not only cares about sales results, but also about how employees feel about the company, what they want to contribute to it. Here, ideas are really listened to, the firm gives space to express themselves on any topic.

Newsroom: Is there anything that has surprised you on your return to the company?

Daniela Sobieszek: Certainly, how strongly the company has developed digitally. We now work on one of the highest versions of MS Dynamics when it comes to customer contact management. All processes are automated and run at lightning speed, providing us with exactly what transport companies need at any given time. DKV Mobility has developed into a tech platform. We have an app for mobile fuel settlement at multi-brand stations, we integrate telematics with road tolls, the customer has the tools in their hands to 'click' what they need in real time. This is no longer a melody of the future, it is happening today.

Newsroom: In general, a good and flexible working environment becomes more and more important to employees. What are your observations?

Daniela Sobieszek: We spend the lion's share of our lives at work, which is why how we are treated there is so important. An office is not a fortress, but a place to live. If someone wants to come here with their dog, there is no problem, I know how happy I am with my Dzidzia (an 8-year-old Labrador) romping between my legs. If there is a problem with taking care of a child for a few hours, we have a place where the kids can hang out, play games, do their homework, there are hammocks, pouffes or table football. It’ great to have the opportunity to combine private and work-life.

It is important to have a good spirit in the team that drives positively. This is why I value diversity, ideas and initiatives among people the most. Everyone is different and I want them to be able to develop their abilities on many levels.

Newsroom: One of your tasks is to develop the business further. How do you cope with challenges?

Daniela Sobieszek: We really enjoy what we do - and feel valued for who we are - work takes on a different character. If we work in peace and with a sense of mutual respect, this atmosphere translates into customer relations. And after all, this is what DKV Mobility is all about, to support its customers in the best possible way. Both with modern solutions and the support of dedicated, great people who believe in what they do.

I think the key is that development is carried out in such a way that everyone can find their profile and pace. We also share knowledge with our international colleagues - not on paper, but in person - through frequent meetings and joint projects. We have a dedicated specialist in the team who proposes different types of training to employees and supports talents. Together we built a library with interesting items in our specialization. I enjoy looking at the books that have inspired our colleagues professionally.

Newsroom: Where does your interest in the automotive industry come from?

Daniela Sobieszek: Cars have always been a passion for me. I had this idea at a young age to create a women's workshop where they would speak "human". I wanted to go to automotive school, I loved the parts and action of mechanics, electrics of vehicles. Cars are my hobby, I read a lot, I follow technical innovations and I think about where motoring is going with so much technology available today. In the context of the digital development of DKV Mobility, I am preoccupied with the integration of fuel cards combined with the know-how with telematics. What opportunities are there to link platforms, to integrate road tolls with vehicle tracking and transaction systems. We have entered the era of big data, the internet of things and the interconnection of large IT systems. There is no turning back from this path and this fascinates me the most.

Newsroom: What are your ambitions for the coming year?

Daniela Sobieszek: I will be supporting the company's development towards creating new solutions for car fleets. We have an acceptance network of over half a million EV charge points in Europe – all accessible with one single service card. In Poland alone, we offer access to around 2,000 of various brands such as GreenWay, EV Plus, EV Box, LMS PL, lonity or PowerDot. For fleets, one of the benefits of DKV Mobility is that our network of stations is extremely dense.

Newsroom: So is it time for even more interesting DKV Mobility solutions for passenger cars and small businesses?

Daniela Sobieszek: Exactly so.
