DKV Mobility, the leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions, launches the Future Fuel Card – a fuel and services card dedicated to alternative fuels. The card offers a discount of 2 Euro cent (€0.02) gross per liter/per kilogram (hydrogen) for selected alternative fuels to further incentivize the switch to alternative fuels.

“We are launching the Future Fuel Card, as we are anticipating a much bigger demand for alternative fuels. With the card, we want to support fleet operators in the transition to sustainable mobility by offering them a dedicated supply solution that includes carbon offsetting”, says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility.

The selected fuels of the Future Fuel Card are CNG (natural gas), bioethanol, biodiesel, hydrogen and HVO/R33 (fully- or semi-synthetic diesel fuel). The Future Fuel Card will include carbon offsetting by promoting gold standard certified carbon offset projects through DKV Mobility’s partner myclimate. DKV Mobility customers using the Future Fuel Card can access the entire DKV Mobility acceptance network including all relevant services across all countries. The card will initially be available in Denmark, Sweden, and the Benelux countries. The extension of this offer to other countries is in preparation.

Overall, DKV Mobility offers access to the largest energy-agnostic acceptance network in Europe; including ~67,000 fuel service stations, ~310,000 public and semi-public EV charge points and ~20,000 alternative fuel service stations. Supporting the switch to alternative energy sources is in line with DKV Mobility's corporate purpose: To drive the transition towards an efficient and sustainable future of mobility. DKV Mobility aims to become climate positive by 2023 and to support its customers in reducing the carbon intensity of their fleets by 30% by 2030 compared to the base year 2019.
