eMobility: DKV Mobility expands EV charging network by over 550 charge points in Spain
DKV Mobility, one of the leading providers of international mobility services, has entered a partnership with Iberdrola | bp pulse, the company launched by Iberdrola and bp pulse to lead the expansion of the fast and ultra-fast charging network in Spain and Portugal. DKV Mobility and its subsidiary GreenFlux, who enables DKV Mobility’s EV charging service offering, just recently signed a cooperation agreement to this effect. Through this partnership, DKV Mobility customers can use over 550 additional charge points in Spain. By 2030, Iberdrola | bp pulse aims to have 11,700 charge points across Iberian territory. The charge points can be accessed via the DKV Card +Charge or via the DKV Mobility App.
Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility, says: "We are very delighted to include Iberdrola | bp pulse charging sites in Spain into our network. By offering first-class public charging experiences to EV drivers in Spain, Iberdrola | bp pulse accelerates the transition to decarbonize road transport. That aligns perfectly with our commitment to foster a more efficient and sustainable future of mobility.”
Julio Martin, Commercial Director at Iberdrola | bp pulse, adds: “Our focus is to promote access to a reliable, high-speed charging infrastructure and thus helping to remove one of the main barriers to the adoption of electric vehicles. We want to decarbonize transport in its entirety, both light and heavy, and to face a challenge of this magnitude, partnerships such as the one we have entered into with DKV Mobility are essential. We are excited to enable their customers to access our fast-growing EV network."
Iberdrola | bp pulse was born from a strategic alliance between both companies, two leading energy suppliers in Iberia. They aim to foster the deployment of modern ultra-fast public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal. Just recently, they started up the first Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for eTrucks in Southern Europe. The MCS is located at the Grupo Disfrimur logistics site in Murcia. With a maximum output of 1,440 kW a truck battery can be charged in just 30 minutes. That reduces the charging time by up to 90 %. More sites shall follow. With access to approximately 823,000 charge points, DKV Mobility already provides one of the most extensive EV charging networks across Europe. In addition, the company offers EV charging solutions for the customer's company location (@work), as well as for the company car driver at home (@home).
