DKV Mobility further expands acceptance network for alternative fuels: New diesel substitute HVO settable via DKV Card
HVO100

DKV Mobility, the leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions, is further expanding its acceptance network for alternative fuels. For the sales start of HVO (= "Hydrotreated Vegetable Oils") in Germany, DKV Mobility is adding the vegetable oil-based diesel substitute to its acceptance network: Customers can settle HVO using their DKV Card at around 70 fuel service stations across Germany. The invoices issued can be used as usual to claim any tax refunds.

HVO is available in various blends - in pure form (HVO100) or mixed with fossil diesel. With HVO, fleet operators can reduce their fleet-related CO2 emissions by up to 90 percent compared to fossil diesel and thus significantly improve their carbon footprint - without having to retrofit or replace the vehicles.

“We are delighted that the way is now also clear for the sale of HVO in Germany,” says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility. "With our constantly growing acceptance network, we are also making alternative fuels such as HVO accessible to our customers in order to provide them with the best possible support on their way to environmentally friendly mobility."

The use of HVO is generally possible for trucks, vans and cars. However, HVO approval from the vehicle manufacturer is required. Initially, HVO will be available at selected fuel service stations. According to the ADAC, HVO will gradually become available across the board.
