DKV Mobility and Jan Fischer promote art and culture: Donation of nine works by Konrad Lueg to the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf

Donor Jan Fischer

To mark the 90th anniversary of DKV Mobility, the company is pleased to announce a significant art donation together with Jan Fischer, owner and Chairman of the Administrative Board of DKV Mobility. Jan Fischer is donating nine works by the renowned Düsseldorf artist Konrad Lueg to the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf. He is entrusting a tenth work to the Kunstpalast as a permanent exhibit. With this donation, Jan Fischer is setting a further example of the importance of art and culture in our society, also on behalf of DKV Mobility.

The works were officially donated by Jan Fischer to Felix Krämer, Director General and Artistic Director of the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, today. Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller and Peter Meier, Chief Financial Officer at DKV Mobility, also attended the event.

Jan Fischer, owner and Chairman of the Administrative Board of DKV Mobility, said: “Making art accessible to society is a cause close to my heart. The fact that our company has developed so successfully is also due to the location and its environment in North Rhine-Westphalia, where my family has been involved in business for generations. Today, with this donation to the Kunstpalast, I would like to express our thanks and our connection to the region.”

Today's event also marks the launch of a new employee program from DKV Mobility in collaboration with the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf. In the future, the company will receive free tickets for its employees, who will also be able to take part in special tours and workshops.

Konrad Lueg is a central figure of German Pop Art and achieved great recognition in the 1960s. Together with artists such as Gerhard Richter and Sigmar Polke, he contributed significantly to the expansion of the traditional understanding of art. The donation includes important works such as “Praying Hands” (1963), “Bockwürste auf Pappteller” (1962/63) and “Bügel” (1963), which were part of the exhibition “Leben mit Pop – eine Demonstration für den kapitalistischen Realismus” (Living with Pop – A Demonstration for Capitalist Realism).

Supporting cultural projects is an integral part of Jan Fischer and DKV Mobility's social commitment. Together with the LEAP Art Foundation, Jan Fischer annually presents the *WESTSTERN award to emerging art associations in North Rhine-Westphalia that make a significant contribution to contemporary art through their innovative and creative works. The award includes a cash prize and an exhibition at the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, which provides artists with a platform to present their work to a broad audience. Jan Fischer supports *WESTSTERN with 90,000 euros annually.
