DKV Mobility, the leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions, further expands its acceptance network for alternative fuels. With ~1,600 fuel service stations in 22 countries DKV Mobility offers one of the largest HVO100 networks in Europe. In only two months the number of stations grew about 60 %. In particular, Scandinavia, Italy, and the Netherlands already have a significant number of fuel service stations that offer the diesel alternative. The rapid expansion is based on the growing interest in sustainable options among DKV Mobility customers. In 2023 alone, the consumption of alternative fuels like LNG, CNG and hydrogen by DKV Mobility customers increased by 20% compared to the previous year.

“With HVO100 we make sustainable choices for our customers more accessible. As a frontrunner in sustainable mobility, we decided to connect HVO100 stations very early”, says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility. “Using the diesel alternative our customers can reduce their fleet-related CO2 emissions by up to 90 percent compared to fossil diesel and thus significantly improve their carbon footprint.”

HVO, which is short for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oils is made from waste and residue materials like used cooking oil, animal fats, and vegetable oils. The result is a high-quality alternative to traditional diesel which can be used in various ratios. HVO100 is the purest form, offering a complete substitute without any blending with fossil diesel.

Since HVO100 combusts cleaner than traditional diesel, it significantly reduces the emission of soot particles, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide.

The DKV Mobility network covers various forms of energies. Next to ~806.000 EV charge points and ~68.000 fuel stations, ~22.000 alternative fuel stations, whereof ~1.600 stations are including HVO100, are accessible to its customers across Europe.
