Our science-based climate targets

We are fully committed to taking climate action in line with the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Agreement. DKV Mobility is proud to have validated science-based targets aligned to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard. We set ourselves these ambitious targets to underline our ongoing commitment of our Lead in Green ambition and to take responsibility as a market leader in our industry.

DKV Mobility commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain by 2050 from a 2022 base year.

Our near-term targets by 2030:

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42%
  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and use of sold products for sold fossil fuels by 42%

Our net-zero targets by 2050:

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90%
  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and use of sold products for sold fossil fuels by 90%

We have identified a number of levers to achieve these ambitious targets. For example, we will cut emissions in our own operations by reducing energy consumption and deploying renewable energy. In our value chain we plan to achieve optimizations along the fuel value chain and making our products more sustainable. Our continued focus is to support our customers in the energy transition in the transport and mobility sector.
