DKV Mobility, a leading platform for international mobility services, is making a strong statement on sustainable mobility: the company has purchased renewable energy certificates for the entire charging volume of the DKV Card +Charge in 2024. In doing so, the mobility service provider guarantees that every kilowatt hour charged via the DKV Card +Charge in 2024 will come from 100 percent renewable energy sources. In this way, the mobility service provider's customers not only contribute to the success of the energy transition, but can also improve their own carbon footprint. The guarantees of origin meet the RE100 criteria. DKV Mobility will continue to purchase guarantees of origin for the entire charging volume of its customers in the current calendar year. With access to more than 893,000 charge points, DKV Mobility provides one of the most extensive EV charging networks across Europe.

“With our green electricity promise, we are making an important contribution to the transparency and traceability of sustainable energy supply,” explains Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility. “Our customers have the guarantee that their electric vehicles are charged exclusively with electricity from renewable sources within the DKV Mobility acceptance network, and they can also claim this in their CO2 balance. This offer not only strengthens our customers' trust in us as a reliable partner, but also underlines our commitment to a more climate-friendly future.”

Guarantees of origin are electronic certificates that confirm that the electricity purchased was generated from renewable energy sources and fed into the European electricity grid. They ensure a seamless and transparent control of origin by avoiding any double counting of green electricity.
