DKV Mobility, a leading platform for international mobility services, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. The company draws a positive conclusion, reporting significant progress in decarbonizing its own operations as well as across its value chain. At the same time, DKV Mobility has substantially expanded its offering for customers on the path to sustainable mobility.

“Sustainability is a cornerstone of our strategy – not just in terms of our own emissions, but as an integral part of our business model. We are actively driving the transformation toward digital, efficient and sustainable mobility, and making it easier for our customers to transition to alternative drivetrains. The results in this report show that our approach is working. We have made measurable progress across all ESG dimensions, and our team has every reason to be proud. We will continue on this path with the same commitment,” says Sebastian Klauke, CEO of DKV Mobility.

Climate target achieved ahead of schedule

A central result of the reporting year is a 73 percent reduction in Scope 3 CO₂e emissions compared to the base year 2022. With this, DKV Mobility has met its near-term target under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) – an international standard for science-based climate targets – five years ahead of schedule. The SBTi target calls for a 42 percent reduction in emissions by 2030 relative to 2022. At DKV Mobility, Scope 3 emissions encompass all indirect greenhouse gas emissions along the fossil fuel value chain. Within its own operations, the company also reduced emissions by 12 percent compared to 2022, driven in part by lower overall energy consumption and a renewable share of approximately 60 percent for electricity and heat at its own sites.

“We are very proud to have reached an important milestone on the way to our ambitious climate targets. It confirms that our sustainability strategy is on the right track: our decarbonization measures are embedded in our core business, and we are demonstrably contributing to more sustainable mobility,” adds Laura Cremer-Heesen, Director Sustainability at DKV Mobility.

Charging network surpasses one million charge points

Alongside its own climate progress, DKV Mobility has significantly expanded the solutions available to customers pursuing decarbonization. In 2025, its charging network exceeded one million charge points across Europe for the first time – an increase of around 177,000 points, or 20 percent, compared to 2024. This makes DKV Mobility one of the providers with access to the largest charging network in Europe. The alternative fuels offering, covering LNG, CNG and hydrogen, was also expanded to more than 25,000 stations (up 8 percent versus 2024). The HVO100 station network grew by more than 1,500 locations to over 4,100 stations across 20 countries. The offering was further complemented by the new DKV Carbon Monitor, a digital tool that has enabled customers since last year to automatically record and report the CO₂e emissions of their fleets in an audit-ready format.

Diversity, social engagement, and corporate responsibility

DKV Mobility also made progress on corporate culture and community engagement in 2025. Women make up nearly half of the workforce, and 36 percent of leadership positions are held by women. The newly launched "EmpowHER" program specifically supports the development of women in leadership roles.

At the fourth annual Community Day, more than 500 employees from ten locations across seven countries came together to support 35 projects, directly benefiting around 3,200 people in local communities. The NGO Card +Charge, a service card with no card or service fees for non-profit organizations, was extended to Austria in 2025. To date, more than 3,700 non-profit organizations across nine countries have access to DKV Mobility's services.

Top ratings from leading ESG rating agencies again

DKV Mobility's progress was again recognized by leading rating agencies during the reporting year. EcoVadis once again awarded a Platinum Medal, placing DKV Mobility among the top one percent of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. CDP rated the company "A–" for climate protection, up from its debut rating of "B" the previous year.

DKV Mobility's sustainability reporting is aligned with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). The 2025 Sustainability Report also marks a first step toward the new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), with initial disclosures in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), in particular ESRS E1 Climate change.
