DKV Mobility, the leading B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions, is acquiring MKB Brandstof, an established Dutch provider of fuel and charge cards for business customers. The transaction adds approximately 55,000 small and medium-sized enterprises to DKV Mobility’s customer base in the Netherlands, continuing the company's growth trajectory in the electric mobility sector. DKV Mobility is acquiring the shares from the company’s founder Martin Schuurman and TrustWise Management B.V. MKB Brandstof will continue to operate as an independent brand within the DKV Mobility Group.

Sebastian Klauke, CEO of DKV Mobility, says: “We are consistently continuing our growth trajectory. Following the recently completed acquisition of Optimile in Belgium, this is the next milestone in expanding our market position in the Benelux countries. The Netherlands is particularly advanced in electrification, and MKB Brandstof has been one of the leading mobility service providers in this attractive market for two decades. Together, we will continue on this successful path.”

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Rotterdam, MKB Brandstof employs approximately 45 people and operates in the Dutch B2B market, where it is one of the leading providers in the small and medium-sized enterprise segment. MKB Brandstof has issued around 115,000 fleet cards, including hybrid cards for fueling and charging as well as dedicated charging cards for electric vehicles. These give business customers access to approximately 76,000 fueling stations and more than one million charge points across Europe. Since 2020, MKB Brandstof has also offered home and workplace charging solutions.

“MKB Brandstof has built a remarkably loyal customer base in the Netherlands, with an average customer relationship of nine years,” adds Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility and responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services. “Together, we intend to build on this foundation to offer our customers an expanded range of services and to unlock new value, particularly in the area of e-mobility.”

Remco Slik, CEO of MKB Brandstof, comments: “Over the past few years, MKB Brandstof has made a deliberate transition from a pure fuel provider to a mobility platform. Partnering with DKV Mobility is the next logical step on that journey. Together, we can not only offer our customers a broader range of solutions, but actively support them in making the move to electric mobility.”
