DKV Mobility, the leading B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions, has launched a new generation of the DKV Fleet Card in the Netherlands. The innovative service card combines state-of-the-art EMV chip technology1 with the classic magnetic stripe, offering fleet customers maximum security, flexibility, and convenience.

With the new DKV Fleet Card, fleet operators benefit from fast, contactless transactions at NFC-enabled card readers – just like with modern debit and credit cards. The optimized chip technology effectively protects against counterfeiting and misuse. Compared to the national chip card introduced in the Netherlands in 2023, the new service card can now be used Europe-wide throughout the entire DKV Mobility acceptance network. If a fuel station has not yet been upgraded to chip technology, the magnetic stripe can still be used.

Sven Mehringer, Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services, says: “With the new DKV Fleet Card in the Netherlands, we are deliberately focusing on future-proof technology and taking our card portfolio to the next level. Switching to chip technology not only enables higher security standards and convenient, contactless trnasactions, but also forms the basis for further development of our digital card products. This strengthens our position as an innovation driver for mobility solutions.”

The new DKV Fleet Card is now available for fleet customers in the Netherlands for new orders or upon request. The introduction of equivalent card products in other European markets is planned for 2026

1 EMV stands for Europay, Mastercard, and Visa and refers to a globally established chip technology for payment cards that enables secure, contactless, and chip-based transactions.
