DKV offers Europe's largest acceptance network of LNG fuel stations

As the future of mobility progress into a more sustainable one, LNG is evidently becoming a popular alternative to conventional fuels. Compared to diesel, freight forwarders and logistics companies can reduce their CO2 emissions by up to 20 percent by using LNG. Therefore, the European mobility service provider DKV is pushing ahead with the expansion of its LNG supply network and is now offering its customers access to over 230 LNG stations in nine countries. This means that DKV offers the largest brand-independent LNG filling station network, covering more than 50 percent of all LNG stations in Europe. The most recently connected countries are Austria, Sweden and Finland.

“LNG is gaining more and more popularity in the market. In times of energy transition, we want to ‘Lead in Green’ – be the leading provider of sustainable supply solutions for the transport industry”, says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility. In order to meet the increasing demand in alternative fuels, DKV connects 5,000 fuel stations per year focusing on multi-energy fuel stations that also offer alternative fuels like LNG, CNG, LPG or Hydrogen. In February 2021, DKV has started their Green Mission, announcing to become a climate-positive company by 2023 and to reduce carbon intensity of their customers’ fleets by 30 percent until 2030.
