Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Information Systems or Computer Science at the FOM (University of Applied Sciences) in combination with a vocational training as an IT Specialist for Application Development.

This is how your training/dual-studies program works
  • 2.5-year vocational training as an IT specialist for application development in accordance with the training regulations with insight into all fields that are relevant to the training
  • Acquisition of practice-oriented theoretical knowledge at the vocational school
  • 3.5-years of studies at the FOM earning the title of Bachelor of Science in the evenings and on Saturdays.
Your tasks will include
  • Design and implementation of complex information and telecommunications- technology systems by integrating hardware and software components
  • Installation and configuration of networked information and telecommunication- technology systems
  • Commissioning of information and telecommunication- technology systems
  • Project planning, implementation and control
  • Troubleshooting through the use of expert and diagnostic systems
  • Administration of information and telecommunication- technology systems
You meet these requirements
  • General university- entrance qualification or technical college -entrance qualification
  • Good grades in mathematics, German and English
  • Strong enthusiasm for IT
  • Confident verbal and written expression
  • Good command of English
  • High willingness to learn and work hard, reliability and flexibility
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sociability and ability to work in a team

We offer you two options for your dual-studies program

You can start your career with us either with simultaneous, practice-oriented evening studies (2-3 times a week, some on Saturdays) or without integrated vocational IHK training in day studies (2 days/week) within seven semesters at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management (FOM) in Düsseldorf earning an internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree.
