We stand for sustainability and actively drive it on. The idea is anchored in our very DNA and can be found not least in our Purpose: “To drive the transition toward an efficient and sustainable future of mobility.”

Sustainability is not a mere trend for us, but a central part of our strategy. This is why we made our Green Pledge in 2020, committing ourselves to assuming this pioneering role to help our customers switch to alternative energy. To do this, we have set ourselves two clear goals: By 2023, we want to reduce our own carbon footprint by 50% and make climate contribution for the rest and, more importantly, by 2030, we want to help our customers reduce the CO₂ intensity of their fleets by 30% compared to the 2019 levels.

This is an important goal that we are working hard to achieve by designing our products and services to make the transition to a sustainable fleet easy. One of the biggest building blocks of our sustainable mission is electromobility. Everyone is taking the corresponding measures; it is not just a hot topic of public debate.

We are continuously expanding our EV-charging network and currently already stand at over 468,000 public charging points in our network. And we are constantly working to expand this network further. But we do not just take care of the electrical supply on the road; we also offer solutions for setting up a charging infrastructure at the workplace or even at employees’ homes. We call this @road, @work and @home. Our customers can charge through us around the clock and everywhere. This is important, because the switch should be as easy as possible, and this is why we do our best every day.

However, electromobility is not the only building block for a sustainable future. Our customers can also pay for alternative fuels at around 20,000 stations throughout Europe using the DKV Card. We can also offset kilometers driven with conventional fuel together with our partner myclimate. For this purpose, we offer our customers the DKV Card Climate. We focus on the needs of our customers and offer a large acceptance network for every drive system.
