In 2021, the time had finally come: With the launch of our service card “NGO Card +Charge” in Germany, we used our expertise to create a product that supports non-profit organizations in their social commitment and helps everyday heroes stay mobile in a sustainable way while fulfilling their mission.

The first NGO to receive our NGO Card +Charge service card was “interaktiv gGmbH” from Ratingen. The organization’s goal: to offer young people a high-quality way to organize their everyday school and leisure time. A great project, because it was quickly clear to us that we would like to promote this goal.

By providing our NGO Card +Charge, we have designed a subsidized fuel-card product that entails no card or service fees. It also provides access to DKV Mobility's entire network of fueling stations and EV-charging points, so NGOs can be mobile anywhere in Europe.

In addition, we pay a climate-protection contribution for every kilometer driven, thereby promoting carbon-offset projects together with our partner myclimate.

We are aware that successful entrepreneurship and social responsibility go hand-in-hand and are inextricably linked. This is why social commitment has always been part of our self-image. We want to provide responsible support in order to create social-added value and give something back to society.

With the NGO Card +Charge service card, we want to say thank you to all the social organizations, initiatives and non-profit limited-liability companies in Germany. They all make a great contribution to our society and form the foundation for a successful coexistence. While the NGOs provide their services to the general public, we want to be active by using our material, human and financial resources to help those who help society.

Since the launch of our NGO Card +Charge, we have been able to provide our card to more non-profit organizations and build long-term partnerships. In doing so, we continue to pursue our central goal of providing around 5,000 NGO Card +Charge to NGOs by 2025.

We will continue to do everything we can to support NGOs in their work with our products to ensure that our everyday heroes can focus fully on their projects.
